About Daryl the dancer...

Born and raised in Fairfield, CT Daryl began his journey being highly involved in music at an early age. He played several instruments and was able to read and understand music easily. His college journey began as a music major but that all changed shortly after discovering he had a talent for dance and could pick up choreography very quickly and that is when he decided he wanted to pursue a career in dance. Daryl attended The University of the Arts and graduated in 2004 with a BFA in Jazz Dance.

While attending The University of the Arts Daryl had also trained at Broadway Dance Center in NYC and The Edge in LA. As Ballroom/Latin dancing grew in popularity on TV he began to train more extensively in the Ballroom dances studying at both Fred Astaire and Arthur Murray dance studios where he perfected both the man's and woman's dance steps so that he can teach both.

His training includes Ballet, Modern/Contemporary, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Ballroom/Latin, African/Caribbean, Capoeira, Gymnastics, and many other forms of dance. He has performed in numerous shows and events across the country but currently teaches and choreographs here in South Florida. For the movie Step Up 4 Revolution Daryl worked with the 2 main characters teaching them Salsa tricks and lifts for a Latin dance scene in the movie.

Currently Daryl teaches private dance lessons and specializes in teaching couples to dance for their wedding. Learning to dance for a wedding (First Dance) has grown in popularity in recent years. People no longer want to just waddle back and forth. Many people request to either have their First Dance choreographed or to just learn to dance to their wedding song.
